Rockstar Games finally gave the world a snippet of its next GTA game, showing the world the "Trailer 1" of Grand Theft Auto VI, also confirming that its title will continue the numbering from 2013's GTA V. The latest revelation by the company gave the world a look into the world of Vice City, showing several iconic sites and nostalgic designs from its different releases before.

One thing that stood out in the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer is how it will focus on a female protagonist in this story, but it remains unknown if it will feature character switching for two main leads, like GTA V's three POVs.

The long-awaited trailer reveal for Grand Theft Auto VI is here, and much like fans' regards for this drop, it did not disappoint.

In the trailer alone, Rockstar Games delivered massive information and what to expect from the sequel game, including the introduction of the first-ever female lead, Lucia. Like previous GTA characters, she was seen serving time and getting out of prison where her story would begin.

This is the same as GTA: San Andreas' Carl Johnson a.k.a. "CJ," GTA IV's Niko Belic, and GTA V's Franklin Clinton.

Moreover, it shows the massive integration of TikTok-style social media which details the criminal life in the city.

That being said, the Trailer 1 brought a lot to gamers and fans, including the confirmation of its 2025 release date. Also, the trailer drop unveils the massive work done in developing the game, with improved graphics that make GTA VI all the more realistic, especially when watching with 4K quality.

Additionally, it uses the song "Love is a Long Road" by Tom Petty, and while it captures the significant 1980s vibe of Vice City, Rockstar's intended use may hint that it will revolve heavily around Lucia and her partner's relationship.

Grand Theft Auto VI Leaks Present in the Trailer

Several years ago, Grand Theft Auto VI saw massive rumors and speculations from insiders and anonymous sources, and in 2018, they claimed that the new game would feature a female protagonist. This was affirmed in later leaks, saying that this game will feature a woman to lead the story, its first time to switch the lead's gender, with the trailer confirming Lucia's story.

Another leak that came true in this trailer reveal centered on the name, with Rockstar Games calling it "Grand Theft Auto VI" using the same Roman numerals that succeed GTA V. Apart from this, the trailer also confirmed the speculations which center on Vice City, Rockstar's version of Miami, Florida in-game, to be the main setting of this upcoming title.

For many years, GTA fans have requested that Rockstar develop the sequel to the 2013 game, and it was only after a decade that the company officially confirmed a sequel, alongside its trailer drop. While there are still a lot of unanswered questions in this latest trailer drop, it is sure that Grand Theft Auto VI is coming shortly, offering improved graphics, its first female lead, and the return to Vice City.
