Nintendo and the Rumors of New Releases

It is widely known that Nintendo is not big on rumors, and the company is cracking down against them before they get big, as well as against massive gaming piracy in the world. However, despite this intolerance, the company was still a hot topic last year because of the speculations on its next-gen console to follow the Switch's footsteps.

Two years ago, there were already talks of a next-generation Switch, following the 2021 release of the Nintendo Switch OLED which is its current latest gaming device. The leaks and speculations were further strengthened thanks to Activision Blizzard's acquisition deal with Microsoft, with many leaked to the world.

Many leaders are also claiming that the Nintendo Switch's next-generation release will arrive this year, offering two variants of the console for the world. Alongside this, Nintendo would also bring in new games, with third-party developers already creating specific ones for the device.

The Nintendo Direct for February 2024 is still a speculation, with the rumor already shaking up the gaming industry for what the showcase will bring for the company's future. While there are no specifics yet on what to expect from the gaming company, massive expectations for the Switch 2 to surface is one key consideration, this and the new titles and experiences to come along.
