Honor has reportedly unveiled its newest gimmick for its latest flagship phone, the Magic 6 Pro, showcasing an application that can control a vehicle simply by using a user's eyes.

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday, the business unveiled the Magic 6 Pro, its first global offering. Honor showcased the smartphone's eye-tracking capabilities during its press briefing. The phone tracks where your eyes are on the screen by using artificial intelligence and selfie cameras.

Honor demonstrated how to use the feature in a video. The user only needed to focus on one of the orders for the car to perform the desired action, like going forward. Described as an experimental concept, the new tech demonstrates how AI-enhanced smartphones and automobiles might interact in ways beyond screen or voice controls.

Additionally, one feature that Honor's Magic 6 Pro will be available abroad is the ability to launch an app by simply glancing at the phone. A user only needs to look at a notification that appears at the top of the screen for the eye-tracking technology to start the associated app.

AI Chatbots on Everything

Honor is attempting to showcase new technology in its smartphones as smartphone manufacturers compete with one another by adding artificial intelligence features, though it was unclear if this function will truly debut with a car manufacturer.

Additional AI-powered capabilities include "Magic Portal," which links to the relevant calendar app or maps automatically when specifics like events or addresses are mentioned in user conversations.

Additionally, Honor reportedly claims to be working on an AI-powered application that will use users' photographs and a text prompt to automatically create a video. Honor claims this tool will be processed on-device via MagicLM technology.

The Magic 6 Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will go on sale on March 1st for about $1,407.

Honor's Flagship phone will also come with its own AI chatbot with the help of the open-source Llama 2 within the Honor Magic6 Pro, Honor will offer an on-device AI that can do tasks like text production, reading comprehension, and Q&A in an offline setting but CNBC states that it is unclear when the chatbot will launch.

The Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR, which has 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, will retail for €2,699 (£2,349.99, approximately $2,625) and arrive on March 18, with both expected to be available in European markets.
