It is known that YouTube TV offers multiview for bigger devices, but in its recent update, the feature is now accessible on the iOS platforms, particularly the iPhone and iPad, for more ways to stream.

However, it is not yet available on Android, but the experience will be coming soon, in several months; there is no exact timeline for it.

Using multiview on YouTube TV will allow users to stream four games or shows at the same time. The feature is built around sports but is also available for YouTube TV's other content.

Reddit users shared the arrival of YouTube TV's Multiview feature, which is now available on iOS and iPadOS, with one Redditor sharing this development last month and the other only last week.

While the availability of the feature differs from each Redditor's experience, it only means that the feature has slowly rolled out for iOS users and is widely available now on version 8.11 or later.

For now, the YouTube TV iOS' multiview is still limited to selected games by the platform, alongside the device and content restrictions, but it is a start for the smaller screen's access to the experience.

On the iOS, Redditors shared that YouTube TV's multiview would be in landscape mode, with the mini tiles covering all four corners of the device.

Android YouTube TV Multiview Soon

While Android's release is missing, a Team YouTube Community Manager shared on Reddit that it is coming soon for Google's smartphone operating system. However, the company did not reveal when this will arrive, only claiming that it will be available "in the coming months."

YouTube TV and Multiview

YouTube TV first introduced multiple viewing experiences in January 2023. This is when it first released the multiview feature, which it initially called the "mosaic mode." This feature offers a split screen feature of four mini windows.

It was later regarded as the multiview but was only available for sports games and events, with the other cable channels limited to the main full-screen stream.

Fast-forward to mid-2023, YouTube TV expanded its multiview feature yet again for users, adding the option to bring non-sports channels, streams, and events available for the experience.

This allows a user to stream games and non-sports content under one screen, but like the traditional multiview, it would only feature one content to bring audio.

This became one of YouTube TV's most popular features available on the streaming platform, but it was only available to the bigger screens like smart TVs, streaming devices, and the web.

However, in its recent update, as spotted by iOS users, it is already available to use multiview for smaller screens like the iPhones and iPads, which are coming soon for Android without a specific release date yet.
