A new website now answers the question "Am I Flying on a Boeing?" as a string of technical flaws and safety issues sparked the concerns of passengers in recent times.

Through this, users would only have to input their flight number and other details for the website to know the manufacturer of the flight they are booking or who will be boarding soon.

This new website, "Am I Flying with Boeing?" looks to help users know if their upcoming trip or one that was booked for them is using a Boeing airplane.

Users only have to input their airlines, flight number, and the date they are traveling to pull up the results and tell them whether or not they are flying Boeing.

Shrey Gupta shared on X that he created the website so travelers may check the aircraft quickly and easily. Information about this from several airlines is not immediately available or explicitly stated, citing that the website uses GDS (global distribution system) data to determine the aircraft.

However, he stated that this may not be entirely accurate as its website only relies on said GDS, but airlines may change the plane it uses on the day itself, going against its accuracy.

Nevertheless, Gupta made this website to help people check their trip, which could offer an answer to anxious travelers when their date arrives. Apart from telling users that they are flying Boeing, it will also indicate the exact model and make of the aircraft, especially as the most controversial plane of the company now is the 737 Max.

Gupta said that it is the most updated hub to determine the flight's plane to use, not relying on historical data alone, unlike other plane-checking websites.

Boeing's Recent Issues

According to the plane identifier website, Boeing is in the news for the wrong reasons, and the creator was right. The US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) took it upon themselves to investigate the company. In their recent audit, they found numerous red flags in Boeing's 737 Max, pointing out its manufacturing process.

The specific aircraft was recently touted as a game changer in the industry as it offered Bluetooth wireless connections to one's devices for in-flight entertainment needs.

United Airlines first adopted it for its flights using the 737 Max, which no longer needs wires to connect to said entertainment systems while on the trip.

Despite these features, Boeing is still flagged for these safety concerns against the development of its aircraft, which is widely used in the industry for serving travelers worldwide.

This new website will help give users information and peace of mind, knowing that Boeing is not their ride, but it may be inaccurate as it may not be the plane they come across on their trip.
