Professional monitors are getting a world's first release soon, centering on ASUS' 8K mini-LED monitor, featuring top-notch specs centering on improved brightness, color, and resolution. One of the most significant upgrades here is the 8K resolution, best known to deliver double the pixels of the industry standard 4K, the centerpiece of the 32-inch screen.

The recent announcement from ASUS unveiled the latest marvel in display tech, offering significant upgrades and delivering the second 8K monitor in the world.

The mini-LED features 4096 zones with a peak brightness of 1200 nits and full-screen brightness of 1000 nits.

ASUS configured the new monitor to work seamlessly with Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS professional hardware calibration software.

There is still no pricing on the device, but considering its 8K mini-LED specs and its touted as a professional monitor, it would be around $5,000, and as much as $8,000, as per YouTuber Vincent Teoh, who was among those who were first to see the actual monitor.

8K Experiences in the Market Now

There are not many 8K monitors in the market now, but other technologies are offered at the best and most premium resolution innovation in the world. Previous studies have been behind the addition of 8K's premium resolution to improve electron microscopy, which could be used in various fields like medicine and science, among other applications.

Of course, 8K resolution would not be possible without the cameras that can capture these incredible details, depth, and other factors that make up the massive picture. The RED 8K Pro Camera is among the earliest to feature this capability for capturing massive resolution, and it does so with a sensor that can capture 120 FPS RAW video.

Most 8K resolution offers now are centered on smart televisions, with TV manufacturing leaders like Samsung, LG, and others already offering them. However, Dell was the first in terms of monitors, but ASUS takes it up a notch with its offer of 8K resolution on mini-LED. However, do not expect it to be cheap, as it will come in the premium professional monitor range.
