With Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama's untimely passing, fans thought that Eiyuden Chronicle's sequel wouldn't progress. The good news? Rabbit & Bear confirmed that it will have a follow-up title.

During the Reddit AMA, Studio Head Junko Kawano, Director Osamu Komuta, and Art Director Junichi Murakami discussed the future of the Eiyuden Chronicle series.

With the imminent release of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the team addressed fan inquiries about the continuation of the series without Murayama.

As expected, many fans thought that Hundred Heroes would be the last title of the long-time-running game franchise. However, instead of introducing a new game, the game studio announced that its sequel would push through to continue what Murayama started and dreamed of.

Despite suggestions for additional save options, the studio remains faithful to Murayama's original concept, IGN reports.

"We are moving forward with a sequel. It is very sad that Murayama is not with us anymore, but we have discussed many things with him. I hope we will be able to carry on Murayama's legacy, and I always want to treasure his last work. I hope many people will support this game,"  the studio said. "
