The Delta emulator has officially made its debut on the Apple App Store, and the best part? It's completely free.

Now, gamers can enjoy the beauty of game emulation on iOS. Regardless if they are fans of classic Nintendo games or Sega Genesis gems, Delta has got you covered.

You can easily find the Delta emulator on the Apple App Store in various countries worldwide. However, if you happen to reside in the European Union, this won't let you stop using it.

Fortunately,  you can access it through the new AltStore PAL app marketplace, designed specifically for EU users.

The successor to the original GBA4iOS emulator, the Delta emulator has finally landed on iOS. It supports seven classic Nintendo consoles.

Before we tackle Delta, Tech Times reported that Bimmy NES Emulator first entered the Apple App Store. However, its existence was cut short when it was "voluntarily removed" by Tom Salvo, its developer.

Given that it has NES on its name, Bimmy might have been deleted to avoid any issues with Nintendo, the gaming giant behind the NES retro console.

Going back to the new emulator, Delta was developed by Riley Testut. It presents an ideal gaming experience with its wide range of console emulation capabilities.

In an email, the emulator developer told The Verge that the app is quite similar to the one on the AltStore PAL.

From the iconic Nintendo Entertainment System to the beloved Nintendo 64, Delta supports it all. Not to mention, it's what the Sega Genesis enthusiasts seek since it provides a comprehensive gaming library.

Delta Emulator Features: From UI to Gaming Support

Upon seeing Delta, the most noticeable feature that will welcome you is its intuitive user interface. The on-screen buttons adapt to match the layout and appearance of the system you're emulating, ensuring a flawless transition between different gaming experiences.

Furthermore, Delta supports Bluetooth controllers, including popular options like the Xbox One Series S and PS5 controllers. You can customize the controller layout and set additional buttons for convenient features such as quick save states and fast-forwarding through cutscenes.

For games that utilize unique input methods, such as gyroscopes or microphone controls, Delta has the answer you're looking for. This iPhone emulator even supports games with "quirky" input methods such as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and WarioWare: Twisted!

Apart from that, Delta goes above and beyond with features like automatic box art retrieval, customizable artwork, and support for multiplayer gaming. You can import controller skins, create your own, and even stream gameplay via AirPlay.

Delta's Development Throughout the Years

Having been in development since 2019, Delta has undergone years of refinement and optimization. With regular updates and bug fixes, it vows to deliver one of the most polished emulation experiences on iOS.

We first featured Delta as one of the best iPhone emulators for retro gamers. Other notable emulators in our 2021 list include GBA41OS, Provenance, Happy Chick, and NDS4IOS.

With the Delta emulator, iOS users can finally enjoy their favorite console games on the go. Whether you're reliving nostalgic memories or exploring new gaming adventures, nothing beats the fact that you can go back in time and play the old games in a new handset.

The original console is still better for gaming, but if you want a 2-in-1 functionality while enjoying your me-time on phone, the emulator is the way to go.
