The Spice Girls hit the spotlight again after four of their songs, which were not officially released, were leaked online.

The songs include "If It's Loving on Your Mind," "Pain Proof," "A Day in Your Life," and "Right Back at Ya," the latter being an alternative version compared to the released copy. The songs were part of their 2000 Forever album, which featured the four remaining members after Geri Halliwell, also known as Ginger Spice, left the group two years earlier.

There's no information on the source of the leak. However, one of the tracks had been streamed on SoundCloud for more than 50,000 times. The songs are no longer accessible through the site.

The songs were produced by Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, the same duo that was responsible for producing the group's earlier albums such as Spice and Spiceworld.

The remaining four members include Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice). The group went on an indefinite hiatus right after releasing their Forever album. They reunited, with Geri, in 2007 and launched "Viva Forever," a musical in 2012. The group also performed at the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics also in 2012.

Forever reached No. 2 in the UK and No. 39 in the U.S. The album included two of the group's hit singles, namely "Goodbye" and the double-A side "Holler -- Let Love Lead the Way." "Goodbye," the album's most popular song, was the only track that was produced by Rowe and Stannard.

"It'd be great if the parties involved could find a way of releasing these tracks," said David Prince, a Spice Girls fan who still keeps a copy of his Spice Girls Fan Club ID.

After recording the four reportedly leaked songs during the late 1990s, the group took a different direction and was handled by an American RnB production team.

At the height of their popularity, the Spice Girls sold over 50 million records globally and released iconic hits such as "Who Do You Think You Are" and "Wannabe." The latter will mark its 20th anniversary next year. They scored nine No. 1 hits in the UK.
