Good news for those who thought they had missed out on Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 promo as the company has extended the same. One can now get $100 off on all models till the end of this month.

Microsoft sliced off $100 on its Surface Pro 3 models last Jan. 30; however, this promo will run for a limited period only. The price cut was initially valid till Saturday, Feb. 7, but now Microsoft has gone ahead and increased the time window and is running the offer till Saturday, Feb. 28.

What's even better is that this time, Microsoft has also included its entry-level Core i3 64GB model as part of the promotion.

Consumers can now purchase any 12-inch Surface Pro 3 models at discounted prices till Feb. 28, saving $100 on the devices. However, there is a caveat - till supplies last. Microsoft is also offering free shipping and free returns.

Microsoft also includes a protective sleeve worth $40 for all the Surface Pro 3 models for free.

The entry-level 64GB Core i3 Surface Pro 3 will now cost consumers $699 instead of $799. The 128GB Intel Core i5 model will set consumers back by $899 instead of $999.

The 256GB Intel Core i5 model will set consumers back by $1,199 instead of $1,299. The 256GB Intel Core i7 model will cost $1,449 instead of $1,549. The 512GB Intel Core i7 model will cost $1,849 instead of $1,949.

The current Microsoft promotion is similar to the 12 Days of Deals offer the company had on for the tablet during the 2014 holiday season. At the time, customers could purchase the Surface Pro 3 for a reduced price thanks to the $100 promo code. One also got a free sleeve just like in the current promotion.

While the temporary price cut on Microsoft's third-generation flagship tablet may be welcomed by consumers, it would have been even better had the company discounted its dongles and docks as well!

The promotion extension also has us wondering if Microsoft is looking to clear its inventory ahead of the launch of the Surface Pro 4 tablets. The Surface Pro 3 was announced in May 2014 (released in June end) and, therefore, a strong possibility exists that Microsoft is looking to follow the same product cycle.
