Making a to-do list is simple. Finding a to-do list app is pretty easy. Finding the perfect to-do list app for your quirks, your weaknesses and your working style can be a bit of a challenge. If you're looking for a clean, easy to-do list that will work with all of your neuroses, look no further. We've gathered the six best to-do lists for every personality.

For the Visually Minded: Wunderlist (iOS / Android)

The darling child of the app world, Wunderlist is definitely one of the most elegantly designed to-do list apps out there. You can add sub-tasks, share duties with your teammates, turn emails into action items and easily manage and organize reoccurring tasks. It's also Ira Glass' app of choice, if you need more convincing. (Free or $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year for Premium)

For the Mind, Body and Soul: Balanced (iOS)

If you want something more out of your to-do list than just a reminder of all of the mundane responsibilities that are dragging you down, Balanced has a more holistic approach. Simply add in everything you wish you were doing more often and how many times you'd like to do it (whether it's once day or four times a year) and Balanced will help you track your progress. Whether it's meditating, applying for new jobs or learning how to code, the app will give you gentle reminders when you're falling behind and will praise you when you've been doing a particularly great job. (Free or $3.99 for Premium)

For the Guiltless Procrastinator: Do It (Tomorrow) (iOS / Android)

Many self-help theories claim that the best way to move on from a procrastination misstep is to not feel too guilty about it. If you’re one of those people that falls into a self-pitying ditch after looking at your failed to-do list, Do It (Tomorrow) might be a good alternative for you. The interface is pretty standard, but the app makes it easy to push tasks to tomorrow to make sure you don't get too overwhelmed. (Free or $4.00 for iPad)

For the Email-Obsessed: Handle (iOS)

Some people eat, sleep and breathe their email. And for the email-obsessed, Handle is pretty ideal. The app merges Gmail, calendars, reminders and to-do lists altogether. Users can add calendar appointments directly from their email, prioritize emails into to-do lists and seamlessly integrate their inbox into their list of action items. (Free)

For the Person Who Needs Tough Love: Carrot (iOS)

Known as the “to-do list with a personality,” Carrot turns your to-do list into a game. Voiced by a sarcastic robot, it’s the perfect app for people who need a little extra motivation to stick to their deadlines. Finishing tasks earns you points while ignoring or putting off tasks gets the robot angry (which you don't want). With Carrot you can’t have multiple lists or label tasks, so it’s really for the user who likes simplicity and minimalism. ($2.99)

For the Type A: Evernote (iOS / Android)

Okay, so Evernote isn’t technically just a to-do list app. It’s more of a digital space to dump the contents of your brain into. And for this reason, it’s basically become the most popular girl at the management app party. The mobile and computer app lets you take notes, make lists, collect articles and search all of your stored material with ease. As far as organizational apps go, it’s one of the most comprehensive out there and the fact that the mobile and computer apps automatically sync with each other is a huge timesaver. But be forewarned, the app can get overwhelming and all of its features are not the easiest to discover. But if you’re committed to transferring your whole life into Everlane than it is definitely worth it. (Free or $5 a month or $45 a year)
