Another day, another Destiny leak.

It seems like Bungie can't keep much of anything a secret these days, because something regarding the future of Destiny is constantly hitting Internet early. It's gotten to a point where, if this pace keeps up, fans are going to know everything about the game's second expansion, House of Wolves, before it's even released.

That's not even an exaggeration: the second expansion pack alone has already seen a number of high-profile leaks, with details about possible new gear, leveling systems and content being leaked on multiple occasions. These days, it's common to hear something about a big game leaking early, but it's typically a one-time affair - with Destiny, it seems like the leaks never stop.

If there's anything to separate this week's leak from the others, it's that most of it focuses on new player-versus-player content, instead of the standard story and/or gear info that fans usually get.

The biggest new addition is the 'Inferno' variant, which is similar to the 'Hardcore' mode variants seen in many Halo games. Normally, players have access to radar, Supers and bonuses from their gear - but in the new Inferno matches, all of these are gone. Screenshots courtesy of Reddit user megamanexe4 show 'Inferno' match cards for Destiny's main three gametypes:

It's a strange move: taking away players' Super moves and gear bonuses removes most of Destiny's identity. If the only difference between players is how they jump, why not play another game entirely? If the Destiny audience is still around because of what makes the game different from other shooters, will an entire mode based on taking that away really draw anyone in?

The screenshots also reveal that the new modes will be coming before House of Wolves drops: Inferno Control will debut on March 3, while Inferno Clash is set to debut on March 31. Inferno Salvage is the only House of Wolves-exclusive mode, and will likely drop alongside the new expansion.

As previously stated, this isn't' the first time that House of Wolves content has been leaked early: a similar leak earlier this year revealed new plot elements, gear and weaponry from the upcoming expansion. Another leak seemed to confirm a March release date, though Bungie quickly confirmed that the game would see release sometime later this spring.

Of course, that doesn't even touch the 'Comet' leak, which seemingly confirmed Bungie's long-term plans for the game past the House of Wolves update. Bungie refused to comment on the matter (as per the usual developer response), but many players expect to see a 'Destiny 2.0' update sometime later this year. What exactly that entails is still largely unknown, but the update could radically change many of Destiny's core features and gameplay mechanics.

For now, maybe Bungie should just focus on releasing something officially, instead of letting fans find it on the Internet a few months early...
