Microsoft is yet to announce the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2, but reports suggest that not only will it come with Bluetooth support in tow, but it will also let users pin individual settings.

It seems that the new update will ship on the latest Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL smartphones, which the company took the wraps off at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.

According to a Windows Central report, Microsoft has tinkered with how settings will work in the impending Update 2, bringing a list users' way, which will be organized on the basis of categories.

The updated OS even offers users the option to pin individual settings on their home screen, which was previously possible via third-party apps.

"We've noticed the settings page received some changes, including the ability to pin individual settings to the Start screen," notes the publication.

According to the site, Windows Phone users who have older handsets will benefit from these features once the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 update is pushed out.

Update 2 will basically give users a single page for all the available settings. Users will also be able to seek out individual settings and pin the same to the Start screen. There are also changed in-app permissions as Windows Phone users will have the option of disabling camera access and other privacy-based features on each app.

There is also a "quick text" feature, through which users will be able to access pre-defined phrases. These can be pasted in the keyboard of the Update 2.

Additionally, the system requirement area on the product page for the company's Universal Folding Keyboard shows that it is compatible with the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2. In the past, Microsoft's Windows Phone OS did not offer support for Bluetooth keyboards. However, the impending Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 is set to offer support for Bluetooth keyboards as revealed by the listing.
