A new photo for the Suicide Squad released by director David Ayer shows that Arkham Asylum and Gotham will play a big part in the film.

The image he posted are files that belong to none other than Dr. Harleen Quinzel - we now know her as Harley Quinn.

The files in question have the words "City of Gotham - Public Health Services" marked on them, so we know David Ayer is interested in making Gotham and Arkham a huge part of the film. We suspect the first phase of Suicide Squad will focus a lot on Arkham before moving to the heart of the film.

Early rumors say Deadshot and Harley Quinn were captured while breaking into Arkham. Apparently, Deadshot was on a mission to assassinate someone, and Harley was on her own personal mission to set the Joker free. They ended up crossing paths and from there all hell broke loose.

Another set of rumors claims Amanda Waller has a safe with unique artifacts. One of these artifacts is Aquaman's trident. We have no idea how she got it, and whether or not it will play a huge role in the movie. Maybe the King of Atlantis will make an appearance in the closing moments, or maybe the trident is there just to show that Suicide Squad is part of the overall DC Cinematic Multiverse.

Will Smith will star in the movie as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang. Viola Davis will be Amanda Waller.

Suicide Squad is currently set for an August 5, 2016 release date. Production begins in April 2015 and ends in September.
