The galaxy's most charming scoundrel will soon be getting his very own comic, courtesy of Marvel.

We are, of course, talking about none other than Lando Calrissian from Star Wars, brought to life on screen by actor Billy D. Williams. Lando will be joining characters like Princess Leia and Darth Vader with a comic mini-series all his own this summer from writer Charles Soule and artist Alex Maleev.

This miniseries will take place before Lando's introduction in Empire Strikes Back, as Lando looks to steal one of the galaxy's most valuable ships with his robot assistant Lobot at his side.

"Before Cloud City, before his glorious Death Star run, Lando Calrissian was just a man trying to make his way through an uncaring universe determined not to recognize that he was undeniably the coolest man in the galaxy," Soule tells Starwars.com. "But Lando's got a plan to change all that... and it starts with the deal of a lifetime."

Lando isn't set to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens alongside his former castmates Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, but the character did recently star in an episode of the animated Star Wars Rebels television series.

"Is Lando Calrissian the coolest character in all of Star Wars? Depends on who you ask, probably," Soule says. "But if you ask me, the answer is yes, and I plan to prove it with this story."

You can check out two covers from the upcoming book below.

Lando #1 will be in stores this July. For more Star Wars news, be sure to check out what to expect from Star Wars Celebration.
