Star Wars Celebration is nearly here. Don't know what that is? It's only the biggest Star Wars convention on planet Earth — and this year, it's the place to be if you want to get the first look at the future of Star Wars.

But fret not, young padawan. Even if you can't attend in person, Starwars.com and Verizon have got you covered. Starting Thursday, April 16 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and ending on Sunday, April 19, fans can tune in to watch all the major events of the show via live streaming.

The celebration will kick off with an opening ceremony hosted by Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy, and from there, it will feature more than a dozen panels and events from the convention, covering everything from the reveal of Star Wars: Battlefront to the Star Wars fan film awards.

Needless to say, it's going to be a huge weekend for Star Wars fans. Here's what to expect:

New Star Wars: The Force Awakens Footage

This is a given. You don't bring J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy out on stage and if you aren't planning on talking about the elephant in the room — aka Star Wars Episode VII. Whether the footage will be shown during the show's opening ceremony, the closing, or somewhere in between isn't known — but count on a new trailer for The Force Awakens to make its grand debut here.

Star Wars: Battlefront Reveal

Gamers have been waiting on this one for a decade: a new installment in the legendary Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, the game series that allows players to relive all the iconic battles seen throughout the Star Wars films. This time, the game is being developed by DICE, the creators of EA's popular Battlefield franchise.

Does that mean that unlike its predecessors it will be first-person only? What kind of vehicles will players be able to drive? Could it include battles and characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens? We simply don't know at this point, but expect all to be revealed on Friday at 10:30 a.m. PST.

Plenty Of Familiar Faces

It wouldn't be a celebration without the folks who brought Star Wars to life in the first place. That's why Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy D. Williams, Anthony Daniels and numerous other actors will be stopping by the show for panels and guest appearances. Harrison Ford sadly won't be in attendance, but it should make for a great time regardless.

The actors always have some new insight into the creation of the films to share or a story to tell. Maybe they'll even spill some new details on Episode VII.
