The highly anticipated LG G4, LG's latest flagship smartphone, is expected to launch on April 28. LG has been building up the hype for the smartphone, the latest effort of which is a promotional video that highlights the G4 camera's wide f/1.8 lens and its software.

The promotional video features Colby Brown, a full-time photographer, as he uses the G4's 16MP camera and its professional-grade manual controls to take pretty amazing pictures.

Brown touts the ability of the G4's camera to take pictures with highly accurate colors, along with reduced noise when taking pictures in low-light conditions. Brown also applauds the manual controls of the software for the camera of the G4, which allow the photographer to use the smartphone as he would a professional-grade DSLR camera. Through the manual controls, users can take control of all the aspects of a picture to be taken, including shutter speed, white balance and ISO, all of which are settings that can be adjusted when using a DSLR camera.

The major emphasis of the video is on the appeal that the camera of the G4 smartphone will have to professional photographers. While they will not likely replace their expensive professional DSLR cameras with the G4, the video shows that if the camera of the G4 works well for professional photographers, then it will do amazingly well for smartphone photography enthusiasts.

If the camera of the G4 can be used by professional photographers to take amazing pictures, then the normal user, with a bit of learning, could also potentially take such high-quality images. While these pictures may not end up winning any photography awards, they would be great as profile pictures and such.

There have been a collection of rumors and information regarding the G4 smartphone, with the promotional video for the device's camera only adding to the healthy amount of news regarding the smartphone.

The G4 has previously been reported to come fitted with a metal casing, which would follow the trend of smartphone manufacturers shunning plastic components for metal ones. However, many insiders have denied that the rumor was true.

The G4 is also reportedly smaller, going against the idea that bigger devices are now better. The smartphone is expected to accommodate a 5.3-inch display despite the smaller size, made possible with the device said to not feature any bezels.

Rumored specifications include the G4 running Android 5.0 Lollipop, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip and 3GB of RAM.
