One of the best things about PC gaming is the ability to mod the games. Sure, Skyrim is fine on its own — but why not replace all of the game's dragons with "Macho Man" Randy Savage?

Grand Theft Auto IV was one of the most modded games ever, though it looks like its successor will soon overtake it. The modding community for Grand Theft Auto V is still young, and there has been some confusion about Rockstar inadvertently banning players — but the community is already starting to grow. There have been some absolutely crazy mods released in just the last few weeks, with more and more hitting the Internet every day.

Grand Theft Auto V can get pretty ridiculous on its own, but with these mods, it's an entirely different game. Just remember, playing GTA Online with these mods installed will likely result in a ban: make sure to keep your modding fun to a strictly single-player experience. Otherwise, get ready for absolute chaos:

Script Hook V

This is the tool you'll need to unlock most other mods out there. The majority of current GTA V mods require it, so make sure to download Script Hook V before you install any other mods.

The Vehicle Cannon

In some modes, the cars of GTA V have weapons attached to them...but what if the cars were weapons themselves? The Vehicle Cannon mod lets you literally shoot cars, even if you're in one yourself.

Ragdoll on Demand

It's one of the most popular GTA V mods out there: what if, when you were watching a cutscene, the characters suddenly passed out? That's exactly what it looks like when this mod is activated, and it's hilarious.

Native Trainer w/ North Yankton Loader

Despite the fact that it plays a major role in the game's story, the town of North Yankton is only in the game for a few minutes. However, with the Native Trainer mod, you can actually return to the game's opening and wander around.

Angry Planes

No, it's not an Angry Birds mod — Angry Planes spawns a number of different planes into the skies of Los Santos... and they all want you dead. Some have missiles, some are kamikaze and all of them are after you.

Ped Riot/Chaos Mode

Is GTA V not chaotic enough for you? Well, the Ped Riot Mode mod will change that: all of the game's citizens spawn with weapons in their hands and a desire to use them. Just try to survive.

Atlantis Mod

What if Los Santos was completely devoid of water? What if it was completely submerged? The Atlantis mod will answer all of those questions and more... though it is strangely creepy to pilot a submarine between skyscrapers.

Of course, the Grand Theft Auto V modding community is growing everyday — who knows what kind of madness players will unleash next?

Grand Theft Auto V for PC is available now.
