Lenovo has revealed the next-generation of the business-oriented ThinkPad 10 tablet, which will run on the upcoming Windows 10 operating system.

On Thursday, May 28, the tablet maker announced the new ThinkPad 10 that will take business tablet computing to a greater level.

"Best in class, the ThinkPad 10 highlights our extreme focus on innovation and responding to the diverse needs of our customers and tablet usage scenarios," says Luis Hernandez, vice president, ThinkPad Business, Lenovo. "Now the most mobile of users can enjoy the best of both worlds with the convenience of a tablet and the function of a full-PC style experience without compromising mobility, connectivity and security."

The latest ThinkPad 10 may be ideal for business users who are struggling to make a choice between a tablet or laptop. The working modes of the latest Lenovo tablet are flexible and also designed to offer a complete PC experience.

An Intel Atom quad-core processor powers the tablet that offers great performance for many common tasks such as presentations, email, video calls, documents and more. Customers will have the option to buy a processor clocked at 1.44 GHz or 1.6 GHz.

Users can get full typing experience with the optional Ultrabook Keyboard or the Folio Keyboard, which will be available at $119 and $110 respectively.

The ThinkPad 10 will have a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, same as the first generation ThinkPad 10. The tablet will be available in 2/4GB RAM options and with 64/128GB storage capacity. Users also have the option to use a microSD card for extra storage.

Being a business oriented tablet users cannot expect the latest ThinkPad 10 to sport the best camera features. The tablet is equipped with a 5MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. To ensure high productivity on the go the new Lenovo ThinkPad 10 has 32 Wh battery.

The ThinkPad 10 measures 10.1 x 7.0 x 0.35 inches, or 256.5 x 177 x 9.1 mm and weighs 1.36 pounds, or 617 grams, which is slightly heavier than other tablets in this category.

Lenovo will also launch a plethora of accessories for the ThinkPad 10. A Tablet Dock that will be available for $129 will enable users to plug in peripherals such as scanner, monitors and printers to their ThinkPad 10.

Customers will be able to use other compatible accessories such as QuickShot Cover, ThinkPad Pen Pro, ThinkPad Protector Case, ThinkPad Protector Should Strap, 3M 4-way Privacy film and many more with the new ThinkPad 10 tablet.

The new-generation ThinkPad 10 will have a starting price tag of $549 and will be available worldwide this summer.
