An upcoming Galaxy Edge smartphone dubbed Project Zero 2 is now the star of a new leak that reveals its physical size and battery capacity.

Samsung has launched its Galaxy S6 Edge back in early March, introducing a high-end device with a dual-edge display. The company is reportedly working on another smartphone with a dual-edge screen, albeit nothing is officially confirmed at this point.

The purported SM-G928 is reportedly referred to internally as the Project Zero 2 and will be similar in many aspects to the existing Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G928F). At the same time, the upcoming model will reportedly feature a larger display and a different processor, among other changes.

Not too long ago, rumors claimed that the SM-G928 will boast a 5.4- or 5.7-inch Super AMOLED, dual-edge curved display, larger than the 5.1-inch screen of the current Galaxy S6 Edge (pictured above). Under the hood, the unannounced model will reportedly pack a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 32GB of built-in storage space. Other rumored specs include a 16-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording capabilities, as well as a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

While these specs remain unconfirmed for now, the rumor mill keeps churning and more details now come to light regarding the device's dimensions and battery capacity. SamMobile now claims the upcoming dual-edge smartphone from Samsung will measure 5.94 inches (151 mm) in height and 2.87 inches (73 mm) in width, which means it will be roughly 0.35-inch (9-mm) taller and 0.11-inch (3-mm) wider than the existing Galaxy S6 Edge. The dimensions seem to confirm earlier rumors that the upcoming Galaxy S6 Plus, or Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, or whatever it may be called, will feature a larger display compared with the current Galaxy S6 Edge.

The larger form factor would also allow for a larger battery, and SamMobile claims to have learned from inside sources that the device will pack a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood. The current Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2,600 mAh battery.

It remains uncertain just what name the device will have when it makes its official debut, but Samsung is expected to make an announcement in the coming weeks. In the meantime, take all leaks with a grain of salt.
