There has been a ton of Star Wars-related news to come out of San Diego Comic-Con 2015 so far. With the Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens panel still to come Friday evening, the Force is sure to continue to be strong with this franchise throughout this year's event and in the days and weeks thereafter.

Don't believe me? Well, Star Wars is taking over Twitter once again by introducing a new lightsaber emoji, which was announced by the franchise's official Twitter account on the social network Friday.

To include the new emoji in a tweet, Twitter users just have to use the hasthag "#lightsaber." Use the red lightsaber, which is the kind used by Sith Lords, to get your point across as you wish. Think of it as a virtual version of Darth Vader's Force Grip.

This new lightsaber emoji is a promotion for The Force Awakens, which hits theaters on Dec. 18. It is modeled after the revamped lightsaber that appears in this seventh installment of the Star Wars saga, which was met with mixed reviews and plenty of Internet memes when it first appeared in the teaser trailer for the movie that dropped in November 2014.

The first set of emojis in anticipation of the film were released on Twitter back in April during this year's Star Wars Celebration, which featured C-3PO, a Stormtrooper and the ball droid BB-8. With five months to go and the popularity of emojis likely to not die down anytime soon, it's possible we might see more Star Wars emojis in the near future. Aren't we all all just begging for a Yoda emoji to instill a little more wisdom in our tweets anyway?
