Game of Thrones may be taking a break on television but it's very much made its presence felt at the San Diego Comic Con. The TV show had a panel in SDCC and it released an audition reel of its cast, much to the delight of fans everywhere.

In the footage, Gwendoline Christie, Nathalie Emmanuel, Rose Leslie, Thomas Wlaschiha, Ben Crompton, Pedro Pascal, Kristofer Hivju, Natalie Dormer, Liam Cunningham, Carice Van Houten, and Michiel Huisman were captured speaking lines in plain clothes but every bit channeling their characters in Game of Thrones.

It's not unusual for SDCC panels to tease fans with bits and pieces for future work (season 6 for the show, in this case) but those hoping for a sneak peek at anything for the next season of Game of Thrones will have to sit tight as the audition reel was the only video shown.

In fact, nothing at all has been revealed for season 6, which is understandable, given the last season just ended, but that doesn't mean that not a lot of talking went down during the panel. The TV show has now caught up to the books but Carolyn Strauss, Game of Thrones producer, has said that the general plan George R. R. Martin has laid out for the story is still being followed.

David Nutter, who directed the show's season 5 finale, also said that Jon Snow is deader than dead. He shared being with U.S. President Barack Obama a few weeks ago and being asked by the head of state if Kit Harington's character had truly been killed off.

When Nutter affirmed Jon Snow's death, he recounted how he thought he was going to be sent to Guantanamo for what he told the president, most especially when Obama complained that his favorite characters are being killed off.

Still, many fans refuse to believe that that's the end of the story for Jon Snow, partly because of all the twists that happen in Game of Thrones and partly because Harington was spotted watching Wimbledon still wearing his Jon Snow hair. Shooting for season 6 is slated to start soon so if he has kept his hair, Harington is keeping alive even the smallest possibility that he will be back.

He wasn't at the Comic-Con panel, however.

For now, fans get to take a look back at some of the most memorable persons in the TV show while they were auditioning for their parts.
