With smart lock technology, gone are the days when you had to fumble around in your purse for your keys or make sure you don't misplace them on your way home. However, now, with this updated app, you don't even have to pull out your smartphone to unlock your front door.

August is known for its Smart Lock, which you can control with a touch of a smartphone. Now a new version of the August iOS app allows users to do all of that with an Apple Watch, the company announced in a blog post published Friday.

The app allows users to lock and unlock an August Smart Lock with a swipe and a tap from their Apple Watch. Users can also access a record of who has come in and out of their house and when they did so. When the door is unlocked, users will receive a real-time notification right on their Apple Watch.

This newly accessible Apple Watch app is part of an update to the August iOS app released Friday. Users can get the new app by downloading and installing the update on their iPhones, opening the Apple Watch app, selecting "August" and then activating the "Show App on Apple Watch" and "Glances" options.

August was previously announced as one of the first partners for Apple's HomeKit, the company's recently-launched smart home platform.
