LG has announced a new 10-innch tablet dubbed the G Pad II 10.1, which will be showcased at the upcoming IFA event.

In mid-August, LG unveiled the G Pad II 8.0 exclusively for the Korean market but on Monday, August 24, the Korean company confirmed that the G Pad II 10.1 will be available in markets outside Korea as well.

Chris Yie, the VP and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company, says that the LG G Pad II 10.1 has been developed per the feedback received from customers. The tablet is also optimized for multimedia use.

"Customers asked for a large display, bigger battery and faster performance all without raising the price. The G Pad II delivers on all counts," says Yie.

The G Pad II 10.1 sports a 10.1-inch WUXGA display with 1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution and 224 ppi that offers great video watching experience to customers. The tablet has a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz and 2GB of RAM powers the latest LG tablet. A 7,400 mAh battery offers long-lasting usage time to owners. The LG G Pad II comes with 16GB on-board storage with the option to expand the memory further with a microSD card. LG is also offering 100GB of free storage on Microsoft's OneDrive with the tablet.

The LG tablet weighs 489 grams, or about 1.07 ounces. It measures 254.3 x 161.1 x 7.8mm.

"Even with its large 10.1-inch display, the G Pad II 10.1 features a slim and sleek design with the slimmest bezel among similar-sized tablets currently on the market," per the press release of the tablet.

The LG G Pad II 10.1 will come running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop straight out of the box. LG will be offering its latest tablet in a unique purplish color called "Brilliant Bronze."

The tablet will be available in Wi-Fi only and LTE models. LG has confirmed that the tablet will be available in Europe, North America and Asia but the company has not yet revealed the price of the latest G Pad II 10.1.
