Google is widely expected to introduce an updated version of its Nexus 5 released in 2013. A new video compares the size of the upcoming Nexus 5 (2015) with other flagship smartphones based on a leaked render of the device.

Smartphone fans have some great options to choose from now or in the coming weeks, with Samsung most recently unveiling its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, which are already on sale from carriers and retail stores. Apple will unleash its next-generation iPhone 6s and 6s Plus at an event rumored to take place on Sept. 9 and Google is expected to introduce two new Nexus smartphones in October to coincide with the launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

One of Google's upcoming Nexus smartphones is expected to be an updated version of its very popular Nexus 5, which was built by LG and released in 2013. The Nexus 5 was a huge hit with smartphone fans in large part because of its size, which allowed users to easily operate it with one hand. Many Nexus fans skipped its successor, the Nexus 6, due to its huge jump in display size to six inches. It appears Google has listened and is going to take a page out of Apple's playbook by launching both a smartphone and phablet when it unveils its next-generation Nexus handsets in the fall.

We recently reported that a concept video for the LG-built Nexus 5 2015 hit the Web using the latest leaked information, and now, a new video has been created that provides an idea of how the new Nexus 5 will compare with flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, LG G4, HTC One M9, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The video also provides a glimpse into the size difference when compared with its predecessor, the Nexus 5 (2013), which might not please Nexus 5 users who were hoping to get a similar sized smartphone.

Check out the video below to see how Google's Nexus 5 2015 could compare in size with some of the most popular flagship smartphones currently on the market.
