If you've kept track of all the Marvel television shows and movies, you'll know how extensive the Marvel cinematic universe really is. Wouldn't it be great if there was some sort of official guidebook that outlined that cinematic universe so you could see how it all began and how it has progressed since the first Marvel cinematic universe movie?

Now, Marvel has announced plans to release the official Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe series of books, similar to the company's classic Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe. This new book covers everything that's happened since the first Iron Man film.

Marvel promises that its guidebook has seen an overhaul from its older handbooks.

"Sleeker, slicker and jam-packed with information about the people, places and things across the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe," wrote the company in a press release. "Chock-full of "fast facts," movie-to-comic comparisons and production stills – these comprehensive compilations are essential reading for hardcore Marvel fans!"

The Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe series begins with the rise of Tony Stark as he becomes Iron Man in Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Marvel's Iron Man, which releases in October with a cover by artist Mike del Mundo, followed by the Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Marvel's Incredible Hulk/Marvel's Iron Man 2. The second book in the series also features a flipbook format with a cover by Mike del Mundo and Pascal Campion.

Future books will cover other Marvel cinematic universe properties, including its TV shows and later films.

"Relive all the big-screen thrills of the Marvel Cinematic Universe this October, and build your library of reference books as the first Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes to comic shops and digital devices everywhere!" writes Marvel in its press release.
