Along with the launch of Apple's new mobile operating system, iOS 9, Apple has launched a new Android app called "Move to iOS," which is available for download now.

Users are able to install the app on their Android phone, and the app will back up all of the user's important data, including contacts, messages, photos, videos, Internet browser bookmarks and so on. The data can then be downloaded onto the user's new iPhone.

"Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it," says Apple on the Google Play page for Move to iOS. "With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android."

The Move to iOS app will also help users try and rebuild their app library. The app will create a list of all the apps the user has installed on their phone, and apps that are available on both iOS and Android will be suggested for immediate download on the iPhone. Apps that have paid iOS counterparts will be added to the user's iTunes Wish List.

Along with the app, Apple released documentation for how to move from an Android device to an iOS device using Move to iOS. The app requires Android 4.0 or later as well as a Wi-Fi connection. The iPhone will also need enough memory to store all of the user's data.

The app represents a pretty aggressive move for Apple in trying to convince Android users to switch over. One of the biggest headaches associated with switching phones is having to transfer data, and the new app makes it pretty easy to do so.

Of course, Google also offers tools for iOS users to switch to Android, however, these tools are not as easy and comprehensive as Apple's offering.

You can find the Move to iOS Android app in the Google Play Store.
