Google's event on Sept. 29, when the company is expected to unveil its new Nexus devices, is just a few days away. Users are excited to know all about the LG-made Nexus 5X and the Huawei-made Nexus 6P, which will be the first devices to be powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Android news website Android Police, which was previously able to acquire images of the boxes of the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, was also able to retrieve a high-resolution press image of the larger Nexus.

The high-resolution picture of the Huawei Nexus 6P confirms the leaked images a few weeks ago of a device with a black bar with a bump on the top of its back cover. The flash and lens of the camera can be seen on the black bar, but it also has a black window. The purpose of this window is so far undetermined, and it's unclear if it has a function in the first place or just a design element. A stylized Nexus is also written along the back of the device with the name of Huawei, in addition to the fingerprint scanner.

The front of the Nexus 6P, on the other hand, is unremarkable, with the only detail standing out is symmetrical top and bottom bezels. The image also shows front-facing speakers, as can be seen in the Nexus 6.

The Huawei Nexus 6P is expected to pack a 5.7-inch 1440p display and powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset, with memory capacity options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The device is also expected to feature the new USB Type-C.

The names of the new Nexus devices were only recently confirmed, with the Nexus 5X name being the subject of rumors but the Nexus 6P name being a new piece of information that recently surfaced. The acquired images of the boxes confirmed the names of the Nexus devices, which were previously codenamed Bullhead and Angler.

Google has sent out invitations for the Sept. 29 event in San Francisco where the devices will be unveiled. All the details of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will be revealed at the event, including what the mysterious window at the black bar in the back of the Nexus 6P is for.
