>Here's another reminder that it doesn't matter who you are—the Internet, like the human heart, wants what it wants. Unfortunately most of the time, these "wants" involve bullying, stereotyping and body shaming.

Such was the curious case of Vin Diesel.

A set of photos of the actor recently circulated on the Internet, showing him on a veranda on a possible day off. Just like that, people jumped on the body-shaming bandwagon, claiming that the 48-year-old actor could now be described with the not-so-newfangled phrase "dad bod."

The "dad bod" is casually defined as "a male body type that is best described as 'softly round'" and is "built upon the theory that once a man has found a mate and fathered a child, he doesn't need to worry about maintaining a sculpted physique."

Diesel responded, of course, with more photos, not just to prove the haters wrong, but more importantly, to prove that what they are doing is wrong.

"It is amazing the response from the journalists who I have been talking to for the last two days in New York. Today one wanted to see the dad bod. Haha. I am wondering if I should show the picture... Body-shaming is always wrong! What do you think?" he initially posted.

A day later, after over 2,500 comments on the photo on Instagram, Diesel shamed the body-shamers by posting yet another photo. He dedicated this to those "who wanted the show" and to "all the angels that love the dad bod regardless."

Diesel is currently promoting his upcoming supernatural action film, "The Last Witch Hunter," directed by Breck Eisner, to be released this Oct. 23. Prior to this, he recently announced that the "Fast & Furious" franchise, in which he plays Dominic Toretto, would release another trilogy before finally concluding its run.

Before "Fast & Furious," Diesel gained prominence with his roles in "The Iron Giant," "xXx," "Find Me Guilty" and "The Chronicles of Riddick" trilogy. He is the founder of production companies Tigon Studios, One Race Films and Racetrack Records.
