Halo 5: Guardians is less than a week away. With that, Microsoft has released more details about the multiplayer component, medals, rankings, bans and other important things gamers should know.

First, we're going to talk about Halo's ban policy that 343 Industries has implemented. We view it as not entirely fair to the gamer but overall a good idea nonetheless.

The Ban Policy:

Players who tend to quit matches on a regular basis could be banned for a period. From experience, we know that there are times when a player has no other option but to exit a game mid-match due to several variables.

If you're a person who likes to team kill, then 343 Industries may decide to drop the ban hammer to protect other players and the overall community. Another thing that could cause a ban is excessive disconnection from the Internet during matches. This is something players have no control over, but we do know it can be used intentionally to quit a game.

What happens when you're banned? 343 Industries made it clear that bans have different tiers. Depending on what a player does during a match, he or she can be banned from multiplayer, or may find it longer than usual to join an Arena match. Furthermore, some banned players may find out they cannot join a match in progress.

The Achievements:

Halo 5: Guardians will launch 65 Achievements to earn. These achievements range from commanding your team to completing missions on the hardest difficulty. The list of achievements also reveals a number of missions that players should expect to complete in the game. From what we have seen, there are 15 missions in total, all of which grant the player an achievement for making it to the end.

Apart from the achievements, players can also earn several medals and commendations. These are obtained by performing certain feats in the multiplayer aspect of the game. Like achievements, some will be easy to get while others will require more work.
