Great Britain hosts the Rugby World Cup this year and so far, the home nation of the contest has very little to be proud of.

England was kicked out early on, during the group stage, and the rest of the British provinces followed shortly. Wales, Scotland and Ireland were all defeated and sent home during the quarter finals.

Thanks to the Kitten World Cup video that you can watch below, a smile is headed to that special demographic of rugby enthusiasts that have a pet cat, or who discovered that their spirit animal is a feline of sorts.

The Jono and Ben comedy duo chose to be in tone with rest of the world and added a bit of sports flavor to their YouTube channel. They recreated the highlights of the rugby game between New Zealand and France, but with a twist: they used cute and furry opponents instead of haka performing, 250-pounds men.

The hilarious video shows a claw-sharp competition taking place between the New Zealand 'All-Cats' and 'Prance' (France), where two cat teams fight to gain control of a wind-up tiny mouse. Not only are the fur balls delightful to witness in their own right, but the quirky comments from the comedians add to the effect.

The confused feline athletes managed to focus on the game and as we are talking about rugby, it goes without saying that things got rough in the field. Even if the Prance team seemed to have the upper paw and a better control of the mouse, All Cats made a spectacular comeback thanks to the reflexes of its captain, Richie Mclaw.

The fair play behavior of kitten rugby players was abandoned when Picameow pushed Mclaw in the face with his paw, which earned it a well-deserved place in the bin. Pug Hansen, the coach of All Cats, seemed nervous for the full duration of the game and muttered only quick responses towards journalists.

After seeing the video about six times (I know, we get easily distracted), it is apparent that Kitten Rugby has the potential to become a stream of gold for televised sport. ESPN fans who wanted to remain anonymous said that they find the game "purrfect."
