A reliable website in France spotted an image of iPhone 16's mold which shows that MagSafe charging is possible on the device.

Introduced with the iPhone 12, MagSafe technology has transformed the wireless charging experience by integrating a system of magnets and coils that align perfectly with compatible chargers and accessories.

The latest molds, reportedly secured by the French tech site ShopSystem, indicate that Apple has made the MagSafe charging ring thinner in the iPhone 16 models. This modification suggests a sleeker design with a smaller outside diameter, enhancing the phone's aesthetics without compromising on functionality.

Despite the reduction in size, the iPhone maker ensures that the new MagSafe design remains fully compatible with all existing MagSafe and Qi2 charging standards, alleviating concerns about accessory compatibility.

New Camera Layout for Enhanced Photography

The leaked molds also provide a glimpse into the updated camera configurations on the standard and Plus models of the iPhone 16.

According to 9to5Mac, the Cupertino tech titan seems to be shifting to a vertical camera layout, a change from the previous models' configurations. This new arrangement is not just a cosmetic upgrade but is expected to support advanced features like spatial video recording, enhancing video capture capabilities across the iPhone 16 lineup.

This enhancement aligns with Apple's focus on improving multimedia functionalities, which is a significant draw for users interested in photography and videography. Moreover, the vertical layout could potentially allow for better integration of new sensors and lenses, paving the way for superior image and video quality.

As Apple continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology and design, these enhancements in the iPhone 16 are expected to solidify its position in a competitive market.

With a more efficient MagSafe charging system and advanced camera features, Apple not only caters to the aesthetic preferences of consumers but also meets their growing demand for high-performance, multimedia-capable devices.

With regards to its camera, MacRumors reported a few weeks ago that Apple was working on a new anti-reflective coating technology for iPhone 16's cameras.

Based on the rumor that came from Korea, this technology could help reduce "photographic artifacts" like halos and light streaks that might appear in the final shots. These are formed when a bright light hits the lens.

Furthermore, the rumored feature could also decrease the level of image distortion called "ghosting." This happens when your image produces a secondary photo that is in the opposite position of the bright light source.
