Rainbow Six Seige's publisher Ubisoft has laid down the plans for the upcoming DLC packs of the video game.

The first-person shooter game was released on Dec. 1, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The first expansion for the game called Operation Black Ice was available in early February this year and it was themed around Canada.

"Continue the Siege with our first major content update, Operation Black Ice, which gives you access to the new Yacht map, two new JTF2 operators, new weapon skins, a spectator camera on all platforms and more," says Ubisoft.

This time Ubisoft actually revealed the upcoming DLCs left for the year. It made the announcement during its annual Investor Day presentation. The Q2 expansion will have a U.S. based theme. Gamers will get a Brazilian theme in Q3 2016, while a Japanese theme is slated for the final quarter of the year.

Each expansion is estimated to introduce two new Operators from the country's task force along with a new map. Gamers will be able to unlock the content via Renown - the in-game currency. Gamers who do not have enough game currency can get instant access to new Operator characters by purchasing the Season Pass of the game.

"Get the most out of your Rainbow Six Siege experience and pick up the Season Pass for some truly VIP features. New game-changing operators are now available along with a permanent renown boost, additional challenges, exclusive skins, and R6 Credits," says Rainbow Six Siege.

DLCs will not only introduce a new map and features. With DLCs, game developers also get an opportunity to fix bugs and improve the overall gaming experience for players. Operation Black Ice brought certain improvements and hopefully Ubisoft will also bring improvements to the game via future DLCs.

Rainbow Six Siege has received mixed reviews by gamers and the video game sales were not what Ubisoft estimated. However, people who like the game would likely wait for the upcoming DLCs in this year.

Ubisoft has given a glimpse of what to expect in the coming quarters, but the game publisher has not confirmed the exact release date for the DLCs. It remains to be seen how swiftly Ubisoft makes a Rainbow Six Siege DLC available when the new quarter starts.
