Hold on to your beards, folks. Duck Dynasty is about to leave the swamp for the stage.

A musical based on the rags-to-riches life of the Robertson clan is expected to open at the Rio hotel and casino in February, The New York Times reports. The Duck Commander Family Musical will feature actors playing the Robertsons as they hunt ducks, tell family anecdotes and croon country tunes.

A Duck Dynasty show in Sin City actually seems strangely appropriate, not only because of the over-the-top nature of the series but also because musical adaptations of TV shows haven't really had success on Broadway. We've mostly seen parody musicals such as the Off Broadway show Bayside! The Musical!, which riffs on Saved By the Bell.

However, TV shows and musicals really do go hand in hand. Not only did we see a resurgence of musical TV shows in the past few years, such as Glee and Smash, but many series have added some tunes to their shows in the past few years. Here are the very best musical episodes on TV.

Hey Arnold! - "What's Opera, Arnold?" (1998)

Arnold and the gang take a field trip to the opera, which turns into a fantastical musical adventure where art imitates life. If you're a '90s kid, you know what I'm talking about.

Daria - "Daria!" (1999)

When a hurricane storms into town, how do the denizens of Lawndale react? The only way they know how: bursting into song.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - "Once More, With Feeling" (2001)

This episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the musical episode to end all musical episodes. It's also widely considered one of the best episodes of the series. Just watch it, and you'll understand why.

That '70s Show - "That '70s Musical" (2002)

Fez gets the spotlight as he prepares to perform in the school's spring musical, but not without having a crazy dream where he's a real superstar first. The Who's Roger Daltrey also guest stars in this episode, which is, you know, no big deal.

Scrubs - "My Musical" (2007)

Scrubs is usually pretty cartoonish, so a musical was a natural fit for this sitcom. Once you hear "Guy Love," you'll never be able to get it out of your head.

How I Met Your Mother - "Girls vs. Suits" (2010)

With the gift to musical theater that is Neil Patrick Harris, I can't believe it took How I Met Your Mother five seasons to put on its own musical episode. But it was well worth the wait. This 100th episode of How I Met Your Mother got Barney, Ted, Robin, Marshall and Lily singing and dancing, and it brought the musical gem that is "Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit" into our lives.

Supernatural - "Fan Fiction" (2014)

For Supernatural's 200th episode, it did something very special. Not only did the series pay tribute to its passionate fandom by incorporating fan fiction into the episode, but it also played as a retrospective of the series... with song!
