Walking Dead on its way to VR

The original series, The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead series was a reintroduction to zombies as fans of this genre were already sold out, but the interesting thing about this series is that even those who were not fans of the genre were still intrigued by this amazing series. Bringing out the fears hidden way in the past, this survivor horror video game has embodied the very feel of the TV Series.

Why the Oculus Quest for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners?

It is only fair that fans of this franchise experience a Virtual Reality version of this series, which would allow them to feel on a personal level the stress and adventure of this game. Crafted for Oculus Quest, the creator of the company, which brought us The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, has brought the very essence of the game to fans, which was very much deserved because of their undead-like support to the franchise. Other consoles may provide but a limited feel of the series, and it is agreed by gamers around the world that a Virtual Reality version of this game was the best way to play it. Although it will be released on the PlayStation VR first, we can also sense that the Oculus Rift would have the same or better gameplay because of the way the Oculus Quest is designed.

Adam Grantham of Skydance on why the VR was their best choice

"We wanted to give players an original story that truly belonged within The Walking Dead universe, from the environments, the narrative, and the combat, to make them feel as if they were truly living in this gruesome world," was a statement released by Adam Grantham who is the acting, creative director of Skydance Interactive.

What players can expect in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners compared to their other games

One thing for sure that players can expect is the connection between them and the characters they are playing because of how the VR is built for players to experience video games in a way that drags them inside the whole game universe. This element is something that was lacking in their previous games before. The interaction level is the key to success when it comes to The Walking Dead because, without an intimate feel of the game, players would not be able to grasp the gravity of the situations that characters of The Walking Dead experience.
