Sprint launched a promotion that provides customers with free Amazon Prime subscriptions for every purchase of a high-end Samsung smartphone.

The promotion, which was started on Nov. 6, will give both new and existing subscribers of Sprint a free Amazon Prime subscription for a full year worth $99. Through Amazon Prime, customers will be able to take advantage of free and unlimited two-day shipping for over 20 million products, unlimited streaming for thousands of TV shows and movies through Prime Video, advertisement-free streaming of more than a million songs through Prime Music with personalized stations and thousands of playlists, unlimited storage of picture on Prime Photos, and many other perks coming to Amazon Prime subscribers over the holiday season.

Existing customers of Sprint looking to avail the promotion can add a new line or upgrade their subscriptions through the purchase of the qualified Samsung smartphones. The devices included in the offer are the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Customers will be able to receive their free one-year Amazon Prime subscription no matter how they choose to pay for the high-end Samsung devices. Users can avail of Sprint Lease, Sprint Easy Pay, pay full price for the smartphones, or sign a two-year contract with Sprint for lower cash out.

For customers that are interested in the promotion, they can head over to a local Sprint outlet or call Sprint's hotline to acquire a Samsung smartphone and the free one-year Amazon Prime subscription. Customers can think about taking up the promotion until Nov. 30, which will be the last day of availability for the offer.

In the same press release as the announcement of the free Amazon Prime subscription, Sprint also said that both new and current Sprint subscribers who decide to trade-in a qualified device can lease the 32GB Galaxy S6 or the 32GB Galaxy Note 5 for a monthly fee of $10 and $17, respectively. The offer is available until Nov. 25.

"Getting the best price in data on new Samsung smartphones and a year of Amazon Prime with activation is the best way to kick start the holiday season," said Sprint senior VP of marketing Roger Solé.
