In a few weeks, the second Game Awards will take place. Just like last year, game-inspired musical performances, game trailer premieres and awards presented by the pillars of the video game industry should be expected.

In 2014, the jury and advisors panel was composed of game reviewers and reporters from various publications. This year, however, the Game Awards will feature some key figures in the game industry and the heads of major game development and game publishing companies.

Among the listed are Metal Gear game franchise designer Hideo Kojima, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg, Electronic Arts COO Peter Moore, Xbox head Phil Spencer, Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Shawn Layden, Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President David Herald. Rockstar and Valve will also be on the advisory board but the representatives the respective companies will send to the event are yet to be specified.

"2015 has been a blockbuster year for gaming, and now, with the help of go90, we are going to take The Game Awards to the next level," says Geoff Keighley, the event's producer. "This year we plan to put fans at the center of the show — and give them special opportunities to interact with us by using their gaming consoles, mobile devices and computers."

The event will be livestremed on TheGameAwards.com, the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Twitch, YouTube, go90, Steam and other streaming platforms. During the event, gamers will be able buy game titles at discounted prices through PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live.

Last year, almost 2 million viewers tuned in to watch the event's live stream. Appearances by Kiefer Sutherland, who voiced Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and the band Imagine Dragons spiced up the awards night.

It is yet unclear whether Hollywood personalities will be present this year. The nominees for The Game Awards 2015 will be announced some time in the middle of this month. The Game Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m. EST. Those who want to be physically present at the event can buy tickets starting Nov. 12, Thursday.
