For the last few months, any mention of Wonder Woman would have mostly pertained to the character being part of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Now, with Gal Gadot revealing a picture of her playing the DC Amazonian, fans can now have their first impressions of the standalone film.

"Wonder Woman" is a feature film based on characters created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published under DC Entertainment. Distributed by Warner Bros, the movie will be directed by Patty Jenkins and produced by Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Charles Roven, with Rebecca Roven, Geoff Johns, Wesley Coller, Stephen Jones and Richard Suckle as executive producers.

Gadot tweeted the first still from "Wonder Woman" as Warner Bros. revealed the movie's official cast, which will include Lucy Davis, Elena Anaya, Said Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Robin Wright and Chris Pine as Captain Steve Trevor.

"Almost 75 years in the making... #WonderWoman is underway." she wrote.

According to Warner Bros., principal photography for "Wonder Woman" will take place in Italy, France and the UK, which explains why the picture Gadot shared shows a cloaked Wonder Woman standing with the Big Ben in the background.

A lot of apprehension about Gadot's build has surrounded since the day she was announced to be playing Wonder Woman in "Dawn of Justice." The actress is fit but she is not built like an Amazonian, after all. However, in the months that have followed, Gadot had undergone serious training not only to buff her up but to give her the necessary skills that would allow her to fight like Wonder Woman.

It must have been tough training to become an Amazonian, right? For Gadot, that kind of training may have had its challenges - nothing unmanageable though, given she was a member of the Israeli Defense Forces. The kind of combat and weapons training she underwent as she served her country is also one of the reasons why she was cast in the "Fast and Furious" movies.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to come out on Mar. 25, 2016, while "Wonder Woman" is set for a 2017 release.
