It's not a spoiler if it's the first thing that happens in the trailer.

Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi will be the first "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" character to appear on Disney XD's new animated series "Star Wars Rebels." Fans have been speculating since the new show was announced whether "Clone Wars" characters who survived the war might show up there. Now we know that there will be at least one, in the debut episode, although he appears only in the form of a holographic recording. It sounds like a message Kenobi recorded years ago to warn any surviving Jedi that the Empire has taken over and their lives are in danger if they come out of hiding.

Since "Rebels" is set before the original film, "Episode IV: A New Hope," it takes place about 15 years after the Clone Wars. There's a huge roster of characters who are still alive at this period in Star Wars history, including Kenobi, Yoda, Darth Vader, the Emperor, Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt, Luke Skywalker, droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, Ahsoka Tano, Mother Talzin of the Nightsisters and many more. Darth Maul and Asajj Ventress could also still be alive during the time period when "Rebels" takes place.

The new, full-length trailer (embedded below) shows most of the footage that has been seen before, but it's mixed in with plenty of new clips. Among other things, fan will get to see just how Force-sensitive teenager Ezra Bridger is, a glimpse of the longtime friendship between Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla, plenty of Storm Troopers marching and fighting, a handful of rebel Wookies and some dogfighting in the "Rebels" crew's ship, the Ghost.

In "Star Wars Rebels," 14 years have passed since the fall of the Jedi Order and the formation of the Galactic Empire. The Emperor has seized control of the entire galaxy, but a planet named Lothal is home to a small band of rebels who are fighting back against the Empire's tyranny. When this rebel crew meets a young con artist, their leader senses a strong connection to the Force within the boy. It's a connection that might even be enough to spark a rebellion across the entire galaxy.

The one-hour pilot episode, airing in October on Disney Channel, is expected to have its world premiere screening at San Diego Comic-Con later this week. Producers and voice stars are also expected to appear.
