Just Cause 3 isn't out yet, but one gamer with YouTube channel Arekks Gaming has already uncovered an Easter egg that fans of the Marvel universe will definitely want to check out.

Nestled within a crater in the massive open-world of Square-Enix's Just Cause 3, players can find the mighty hammer Mjolnir. This is, of course, a fun little nod to Marvel's superhero and Avenger Thor, who wields the magical hammer in a variety of physics-defying ways. Whether it's using the hammer's weight to lift him off the ground or calling down a thunderstorm with it, Thor's ability to wield Mjolnir comes from the fact that the character is "worthy" of the hammer's mighty power.

It turns out that Just Cause 3's protagonist, Rico Rodriguez, isn't worthy to wield the power of Thor, as, no matter what he does, the hammer won't budge from its home. Whether you shoot it, grapple it or attempt to fly off with it inside a helicopter, the hammer of Thor isn't going anywhere.

Thankfully, Rodriguez doesn't need Thor's hammer to cause all kinds of mayhem. He can already grapple onto jets, skydive in a wingsuit and perform all kinds of over-the-top, completely insane action stunts. He's basically a superhero already, though calling down bolts of lightning at will definitely has its perks.

You can check out the Easter egg for yourself in the video below.
