Uber has partnered with Enterprise to rent out cars to potential Uber drivers.

Uber drivers will have to pay $210 per week to Enterprise for renting a car. Apart from the weekly fee, which does not include taxes and fee, a potential Uber driver will also have to pay Enterprise a $500 refundable deposit. Drivers will also have to pay a $40 startup fee.

"Want to drive, but need a car? We've teamed up with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to connect Uber driver-partners with popular vehicles at special rates that may be rented by the week or longer," per Uber.

Andrew Chapin, the Head of Vehicle Solutions at Uber, says that the latest program is aimed towards those who want to drive with Uber but do not have a car or have a car but they cannot use it under the standards laid down by Uber.

Uber requires vehicles driver by drivers to be clean and built in the last 15 years. Under some situations Uber wants the cars to be even newer.

The pilot program will start in Denver, Colorado starting this week.

"Denver is interesting to us because demand is very strong and the regulatory environment has been very progressive," says Chapin.

Enterprise is already offering car-sharing services in Denver. The company acquired Denver-based OccasionalCar in 2014 to enhance its presence in the city. The partnership with Uber may bring greater benefits to Enterprise in the near term.

To be eligible to become an Uber driver, a person has to pass a background check. A driver must be over the age of 25 years and has a valid driving license to drive with Uber. Additionally, potential drivers should also hold a valid debit or credit card.

While the pilot program is starting in Denver, Uber suggests that more cities will be added in the near term.
