First Lady Michelle Obama upped the funk when she danced to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" and now she's rapping her heart out to convince high school kids to "Go To College" in a  College Humor music video. Yes, you already read it right the first time: the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) showed off her rap skills in a music video.

The music video was created as part of Mrs. Obama's "Better Make Room" campaign under the "Reach Higher" initiative, which aims to convince young adults to take charge of their future by promoting higher education. College Humor is one of the partners for the project.

Check out how the #FLOTUSbars in the full video below.

The rap begins as Jay Pharoah of Saturday Night Live (SNL) fame advises two kids thinking about what to do after high school to "Go to College" and, after his verse, throws his hands up in the air and shouts "Help me out, FLOTUS!"

Of course, FLOTUS has her own solo part and she did a good job with rapping the story of her own journey: from having to work overtime nightly after she received her degree to reaching The White House. She also rapped some words of encouragement about how everyone can make their dream come true. Pharoah keeps it real too when he emphasized that dreams can only come true if you put in the time and effort for it, along with an oversimplified Einstein flowchart.

"[The] campaign will leverage traditional and new media platforms to celebrate student stories in the same way that we often celebrate celebrities and athletes," the Better Make Room Fact Sheet says and the FLOTUS is definitely staying faithful to the campaign's strategies with the new video.

"Take the next step: Get a better education, have a better career, imagine a better future and live a better life," the Better Make Room website challenges.
