DC Comics announced on Nov. 3 that the December variant covers of their comic books will feature the psychiatrist turned psychotic lovestruck villainess, Harley Quinn and her little black book, but it seems DC has another surprise in store for its fans in the form of original artworks hidden in the opaque black polybags that come with the new issues.

We already know that the stunning cover arts were created by some of the best illustrators. Jim Lee also let the Harley Quinn variants out of the bag when he revealed on a DC Entertainment video posted on YouTube on Nov. 3, that each polybag comes with one of the three variant covers DC prepared: an original pencil sketch, an inked version in black and white, or a full color version. What Lee kept a secret was that DC Comics also snuck in original artworks in some of the black polybags.

Check out the video below to remind you of what Lee said.

Fans have been sharing of their happy discoveries on social media and even DC Comics shared a few of the variant covers by opening some polybagged comic issues. Check out some of the surprise artworks below.

The "Harley Quinn's Little Black Book" variant cover program will run through the whole month of December and will be featured in the comic book issues of "Green Lantern," "Green Arrow," "Justice League," "Justice League of America," "Superman," "The Flash," "Wonder Woman" and, of course, "Batman."

The next variant cover DC Comics announced will come out in March and with the theme "Batman /Superman" featuring cover art by talented illustrators. Comic book issues will also come with an opaque black polybag. If DC has given a wonderful surprise in honor of Harley Quinn, perhaps it may also want do something similar for two of its titan superheroes since "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will come out on the same month.
