Two favorites right in time for the holidays. Smart thinking on TiVo's part.

TiVo announced Tuesday that it's adding Hulu and the WWE Network applications to its Bolt this week — additions that are likely to be hit holiday programming to existing users. Hulu and the WWE Network can be added to your TiVo Bolt through TiVo Central, although you'll need an existing TiVo user subscription, as well as existing subscriptions to each app for access.

Hulu will grant TiVo BOLT users access to some of their favorite television shows — both current and of the past — allowing subscribers to stream popular children's programs and upgrade for free to include Showtime as well.

Meanwhile, the WWE Network is any pro-wrestling fan's dream come true, offering 24/7 scheduled World Wrestling Entertainment programming, ranging from original groundbreaking series to thousand of hours of video-on-demand content. Included in that content is access to every WWE pay-per-view event of the past and all the monthly PPVs of the future, as per a subscription to the WWE Network.

With the holidays just around the corner, each Hulu and the WWE Network should be welcomed additions to TiVo users, considering they'd be hard-pressed to not find a TV show from the past or present of their preference through Hulu.

Granted, not everyone's a WWE fan, but for those who are, having the WWE Network during holiday downtime is the kind of thing couch-potato dreams are made of.
