On Dec. 16, Director Quentin Tarantino went on to "The Howard Stern Show" to talk about his film, "The Hateful Eight," and revealed that he has beef with Disney. Apparently, the studio is trying to force Arclight Cinemas to not show Tarantino's film at the Los Angeles Cinerama Dome beginning Dec. 25 in favor of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Of course, Tarantino was incensed about the whole matter because he is only showing "The Hateful Eight" exclusively in 70mm in 100 cinemas and the Cinerama Dome has the equipment needed to play the film's format. The director even placed the Cinerama Dome logo at the beginning of the movie.

Tarantino learned about the issue after being informed by Arclight Cinemas on Dec. 14. He also added that when Arclight informed Disney that it had a prior contract with Tarantino to show his eighth film in the Cinerama Dome in 70mm for two weeks beginning Christmas day, Disney responded saying if Arclight chooses to honor its contract with Tarantino and give him the two-week slot at the Cinerama Dome, Disney will pull "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" out of all Arclight Cinemas.

"It was real bad news and it f-ing pissed me off," Tarantino ranted. He even told Stern that he can call to confirm the issue with Disney since the company had no way to refute any of Tarantino's claims.

For his part, Stern tried to reach out to Disney Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger, who he said was an avid listener of his show. "Listen Bob ... He just wants to show his goddamn movie there. You're sitting on top of the world. You've got 'Star Wars.' Bobby, be a gracious man... It's Christmas for Christ's sake," Stern said.

Sources say, however, that the Disney had first dibs on the Dome since it had been secured for months and was even given as an option for those who bought their "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" tickets back in October.

It seems Arclight Cinemas have some explaining to do to both parties.
