Good news for fans of the survival horror parkour adventure game Dying Light as it is gearing up to benefit from some post-game content, which will aid gamers in leveling-up their characters further.

Come February 2016, Dying Light will get 250 additional Legendary Levels. When a gamer completely maxes out any of the three skill trees i.e. Survivor, Power or Agility, they will be able to access the Legend tree - a novel skill tree which will have additional 250 levels.

These 250 levels will aid a gamer in increasing their stamina, health and damage. Moreover, once a gamer crosses every 25 levels, they can also automatically unlock weapons, player emblems and outfits.

"Introducing Legendary Levels - one of the big new improvements that's coming to Dying Light.

"Coming February 9th. For FREE. To every Dying Light player," noted the developer on the game's official Facebook page.

Developer Techland initially announced Legendary Levels as a part of the Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition. However, it gave additional details on the Legendary Levels on Monday, Dec. 21, through a video it published on YouTube.

The game' lead designer Maciej Binkowski details the Legendary Levels system in the video below.

"We listen closely to our community and hear many voices that people who did every single thing in Dying Light want more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways in which we're making the post-game content more meaty. We're adding 250 additional levels, so you can keep on developing your character while unlocking new weapons, outfits, emblems, and skills. It means massive replayability," said Binkowski.

Even though the Legendary Levels skill tree will be a part of the Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, which is set for a Feb. 9 release, fans who have the original version of the game will also get it through an update.

So even if you do not intend on getting the season pass, the feature will be free thanks to the update.

"All fans with an existing copy of Dying Light will get a free upgrade containing Legend Levels," per the developer.

Earlier in October, we reported that Techland had announced that much-awaited DLC for Dying Light i.e. The Following would be arriving in early 2016.

"Today we finally know that Dying Light: The Following will launch within the first three months of 2016," revealed Tymon Smektala, Dying Light's producer, at the time.

For the unfamiliar, the survival horror parkour adventure game released in February 2015. The game's mechanics revolved around the game taking on the role of protagonist Kyle Crane. Crane had to survive the start of the zombie apocalypse but unfortunately got bitten by one. He must then continue taking a drug which will keep him from becoming one of the undead.

Crane deploys both parkour and survival strategies to stay alive as the gameplay shifts from day to night - the latter being tougher but generating higher experience points for players.

Dying Light: The Following expansion is touted as the biggest region yet and is set to release in February 2016. It is a paid expansion.

Reports have hinted that free update for Dying Light will bring several new animations and improved audio users' way. With a few months to go before the update arrives, fans will soon know what Techland has in store for them and if it is indeed worth the wait.

Come Feb. 9, 2016, all players of Dying Light will be able to download the update. Techland will also release the expansion Dying Light: The Following and Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition on the same day.
