Preston Garvey was one of the first Fallout 4 characters we got to meet from back when he was featured in the mobile companion app Fallout Shelter. Now that we've gotten to know the leader of the Minutemen a bit better, we can't help but want to try to avoid having conversations with him at all costs.

That's because every time most players have run into him, he says the same thing over and over and over again.

“Another settlement needs your help.”

Yes, Preston, we know. Just mark it on our map and let's get over with it. Thing is, many agree that these side quests don't actually seem to do much for the game. They're mere distractions and most are pretty boring ones at that.

Preston Garvey's penchant for having a never-ending stream of settlements that need our help have made some players reconsider if the Minutemen are truly the faction they want to join in the game, and he's spawned a slew of memes featuring his perpetual look of worry for the endangered settlements under his care in the Commonwealth.

Online communities like “The Institute of Minute Memes” and “Fallout Guardians” have sprung up to share the love of Fallout 4 – but also to poke fun at poor Preston.

Check out these shareable gems featuring Preston and his never-ending requests to save yet another settlement tossed in with the most hilarious of pop culture and geek references.

Be careful on the internet kids, BAD people could turn you into Preston Garvey -Mungo Posted by The Institute of MinuteMemes on Wednesday, 6 January 2016
On Twitter, fans also have some thoughts to share about Preston and where to put his map.

A parody account for Preston has also been set up on Twitter. But careful when you click – he might mark your map to a settlement needing your help before you can say "ok, thanks bye!"
