With Barack Obama's tenure as President in its final lap and his last State of the Union Address slated for Tuesday, it's time to look back.

In doing so, the White House has tabbed President Obama's former staffers to add context to his past State of the Union Addresses, dating back to 2010, using Genius annotation. His 2016 speech will be given the Genius annotation treatment as well.

By clicking on the 2015 Presidential State of the Union Address and the annotated "more of our people are insured than ever before" line within it, for instance, the following Genius context accompanies it:

"Years of steady implementation of the Affordable Care Act helped to drive the rate of the uninsured in America below 10 percent for the first time since records were kept on that. Health care prices have grown at their lowest levels in five decades; nearly 18 million more Americans are covered, and we now know that 11.3 million people have signed up through the Health Insurance Marketplaces for coverage beginning January 1, a substantial increase over this time last year."

White House digital director Jason Goldman says the goal of the White House's partnership with Genius is to "meet people where they are," as reported by Wired.

"Americans generally have a broad media diet," Goldman said. "We thought of Genius as an ideal platform to add additional color and additional content to the State of the Union from previous years."

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, considering that President Obama has utilized social media channels during his campaign and presidency, even hosting an Ask Me Anything Q&A session on Reddit back in 2012 and most recently appearing on an episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld.

Goldman vows that Genius annotation of Tuesday's 2016 State of the Union Address will be available on the White House's website shortly after the speech.
