Several video game characters have become part of the realm of adult fantasy. Lara Croft, for instance, has this hyper-sexualized look and ample bossom that surely would get in the way of her tomb raiding adventures. However, female characters are the not the only hand-drawn or computer-generated characters that become objects of fantasy. Just ask any gamer girl about the buff bodies of characters like Jin Kazama of Tekken.

What we're getting at is this: fantasizing about a character from a video game isn't exactly too surprising. What is interesting, however, are the new numbers, released by one of the biggest adult sites on the Internet, revealing that one of the fastest rising search terms for adult entertainment on Pornhub happens to be "minecraft."

Yes, it is referring to Minecraft, the block-building game that has you building houses from pixelated bricks has an underground porn following. And it is quickly and steadily growing.

According to data collected by Pornhub, users who search for Minecraft-related videos on the site increased dramatically by 326 percent since January 2014, with 108 percent of that increase occuring last year.

Pornhub also noted that the increase in Minecraft-related porn search terms correlated with other news events related to the game. For example, on June 14, 2015, when a HoloLens version of the game was to be unveiled at E3 the next day, searches on Pornhub increased by 154 percent.

The searches also went up by 291 percent on May 21, 2015 after three million people downloaded a fake version of Minecraft that contained malware.

Pornhub commented on its blog about the numbers they discovered as they “dug deep” into these insights. The adult video site noted that it shouldn't be too surprising that there is a market for Minecraft themed porn. After all, their statistics also show that before searching for Minecraft, users will first look for other content related to gaming such as Halo, Clash of Clans, and Call of Duty, which also ranked high on their chart of search terms used.

“'Minecraft porn' might sound weird to people who don’t know much about it. The rule is – there is a porn for everything that exists, and the same goes for Minecraft,” they said.
