Warner Bros. plans on ramping up teasers and promotions for Suicide Squad, a live-action film that features some of the most insane and deadly supervillains ever to appear in DC Comics.

Today, the company released a new poster for the movie, featuring the entire team, including their leader Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), the woman responsible for bringing the villains together.

In the new poster, the Joker (Jared Leto) stands alone in the middle of a big "X" and stares menacingly at the camera above him. The rest of the team - Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot (Will Smith) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) - stand with Waller in the shape of a smile, perhaps mirroring imagery familiar with the Joker. Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) waves at the camera.

In Suicide Squad, Waller has assembled this team of villains to take out a big baddie that's threatening the world. Because this bad guy is so dangerous, though, rather than call on the usual heroes, Waller forms a team that's expendable, hence the name Suicide Squad.

So far, this big bad guy hasn't yet been revealed, although fan theories cite that it's either the Joker or Enchantress, or even both. Of course, recent photos from the movie of the team together don't include them, making this scenario possible. However, it's likely that there's still something out there more terrifying than even those two.

A new trailer for the movie will air tonight on The CW during a special called DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League. That program is hosted by DC's Geoff Johns and director Kevin Smith.

DC also plans on releasing a special Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad comic for April Fool's Day. Here's the official description of that book:

"Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, M.D., welcomes you to Evil Anonymous, the support group for super villains in need; where no problem is too insane or homicidal, and where discretion is assured as only a clown princess of crime can - which is to say, not at all. But when Harley Quinn starts using her patients' own evil schemes against them, it turns out that a much bigger, far more dangerous, and truly life-altering joke is being played on her."

Suicide Squad premieres in theaters on August 5.
